Our Vintage Philosophy & Policies

At Seaside Seams, every piece begins long before it reaches our studio.

The quilts we use are often decades old — stitched by hand, washed for years, softened by time, and filled with quiet history. When we transform them into wearable pieces and keepsakes, we are preserving stories — not producing garments from new, uniform fabric.

Because of this, each item will naturally reflect the life it lived before us.

What to Expect

You may notice:
    •    Subtle stitching variations
    •    Gentle fabric softening
    •    Minor fading
    •    Small signs of age or previous mending

These are not flaws. They are the character of authentic heirloom textiles. They are part of what makes each piece entirely one of a kind.

We are unable to alter, replace, or “repair” these natural characteristics, as they are inherent to working with reclaimed vintage materials.

If you are seeking brand-new, perfectly uniform fabric, our pieces may not be the right fit — and we fully respect that.

Structural Integrity

Each item is carefully inspected and thoughtfully reinforced before it leaves our studio.

If a true structural issue related to construction arises, please contact us. Concerns of this nature will be reviewed and addressed on an individual basis.

Returns & Exchanges

Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of our vintage materials and the limited availability of each piece, we do not offer returns or exchanges.

We encourage all customers to review product descriptions carefully and reach out with any questions before purchasing. We are always happy to provide additional clarification to ensure our pieces are the right fit for you.

Our Commitment

We stand behind our craftsmanship.
We honor the history of the textiles we use.
And we believe true sustainability is about preserving what already exists.

Thank you for choosing to wear — and cherish — history with us.
